Is There a Book in You?
Learn techniques for gaining confidence and develop a clear sense of your book. Leslie Keenan provides advice on the best way to get a book published, suggesting agents, editors, publishers and printers. This is the opportunity to get your book started. This class is for those who have a clear sense of what they want to write—maybe have even written a good portion of it—but have not been able to complete it. Leslie Keenan offers strategies for maintaining a consistent flow of your writing, helping you get unstuck and complete the project. Keenan has been in publishing for 28 years as an editor, agent, publisher, writer, and teacher, during which she has helped over 200 writers find their voices. Microsoft Word for Writers
Are you working on a manuscript and getting confused about which version is your most recent? Are you nervous because your entire book is in one large document? Do you think there are secrets to using Microsoft Word that would make your writing easier if only you knew them? Bring your laptop and you will learn: quick secrets for making writing in Word easier; essentials you need to know to keep your drafts clear and avoid accidental loss of material; how to make global changes throughout your manuscript; how to prepare a file for submission to a publisher and how to print in another program. Ongoing Classes
Note: Attendance at one of the two introductory classes at Book Passage is required for all ongoing classes.
Ongoing writing classes are intimate, limited to 8 or 5 people, and offer writers continuous support in reaching their writing goals and accessing creativity.
