Writing Coach
Writers Need:
- Consistent support
- Honest feedback
- Strategies for continuous creativity
Writing is creative, stimulating, and fulfilling. It can also be the loneliest business there is. Nothing is quite as difficult as facing the blank screen or the blank page. Nothing is as difficult as beginning. Nothing is as difficult as finishing. All the processes involved in writing challenge us and bring us face to face with our core issues. As a result, many of us have become experts at procrastination, perfectionism, or simply making sure we are always too busy to start. Underneath all these defenses, there is gold, the nugget of pure creativity waiting to be expressed—once you learn how to make room for it to be revealed.
A writing coach is a lifeline to keep writers on course, giving them a framework of support to help navigate these challenges—the first step toward getting your story published.
After an initial evaluation of your needs and analysis of the material you are working with, coaching involves a half-hour check-in conversation once a week. Editing of material can be provided as needed. A three-month commitment is required in order to begin.
I have worked with over 25 writers in one-on-one coaching. Over 50% have finished their books, and over half of those authors have had their books published. Let me help you tell your story.
